A lot. The carnivores eat about 100 lbs of meat a day. The sharks and other fish eat several pounds of fish each day, every week we buy brine shrimp, minnow, grasshoppers, dry food, and wet food too. Some animals require special diets like snails or blended fruit. We serve over 250lbs of vegetables and fruits each week. We also supplement the diets with special zoo meats like Nebraska, special dry foods like Mazuri, and fortify many diets with powdered and liquid vitamins. It costs about $25,000 a month just to feed our 400+ species of animals.
We understand that some of our guests need service animals, however, at the advise of our vet, we do not allow them to come into Wild World. Our animals are still wild animals, and it is impossible to predict how they might react to another animal on the other side of the glass. Most injuries to animals in zoos is caused by overreaction by a animal to an outside influence. Also, there is a small chance that a service animal could be a carrier (and not know it) for a disease dangerous to our wild friends. Most exotic animals cannot be vaccinated for diseases, so this is a chance we just cannot take.
Yes! We have a touch area that comes with admission. We also have encounters that cost a little extra. Feedings for sharks, stingrays, and crocodiles are $5 per cup of food. Feedings for otters are $10 per cup of food. Playing with the dingoes is $5 per person, and you must be 5 or older. Lemur Playground is $15 per person, and you must be 8 or older.
We do not offer discounts on the interactions.
We would love to, but animals, especially wild animals, can be unpredictable. We observe our animals behaviors every morning and then determine if it is safe to do interactions with our guests. Most days we have no issues; but mating seasons, fighting for dominance, or an animal not feeling well can easily change this. Therefore we only sell animal experiences in person.
Sticking arms/fingers through fences or other barriers and climbing on or over exhibit handrails or fencing (including placing children in such a manner) is strictly prohibited. Anyone found in violation may be required to leave the zoo immediately without refund. There are areas where under keeper’s supervision you may interact with animals.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during their visit.
On any given day, our keepers do their best to have as many of our animals out as possible. However, there are reasons, like weather conditions, routine health checks, or exhibit maintenance, that animals sometimes have to go off exhibit.

Wild World is tobacco- and smoke-free. The use of these products, including e-cigarettes, within Wild World grounds is prohibited.
No outside food or drink will be allowed in the zoo, but special dietary and baby food is acceptable.
We are hoping to have a food truck available this summer in a special area.
Guests are encouraged to take photos and videos for personal use. When photographing, please be courteous and allow other guests to enjoy exhibits as well. Please, NO flash photography. It can hurt our animals eyes.

Not anymore! In 2021, Branson’s Wild World expanded, and we now have an outdoor section that features many animals, including wolves, hyenas, cougars, tigers, etc.
We are for the majority of the facility. Our outdoor section features a small, optional path that leads downstairs and provides a closer look at a few animals. This small area is not wheelchair accessible.
Yes. You are welcome to leave and come back during the day. Re-entry will require proof of purchase (i.e. receipt and/or hand stamp).
Now all our tickets are 2 day passes! Come back the next day at no extra charge as long as you have your receipt. The second day does have to be consecutive.
